KineMaster Basics | Beginner's Tutorial | 2021 Tutorial

 


KineMaster is one of the best video editing apps for Android and iPhone. It's a good choice for making short films, documentaries or YouTube vlogs. But if you are a beginner having troubles in getting started with KineMaster, you are at the right place.

Here is an 8-steps tutorial showing how to edit videos with this popular video editor. I hope this tutorial will help you...


1/8 Import Videos or Photos


Let's start by importing videos or photos into KineMaster.

Click on the add button.

Choose aspect ratio of your project.

If you are creating video for YouTube, the ideal aspect ratio is 16:9. You may choose 9:16 and 1:1 for TikTok and Instagram respectively.

After selecting aspect ratio, a new window will open with the folders in your phone. Click on the folder in which your file consists. Then choose file.

Ok, we have imported video in KineMaster. To add more videos click on the media icon.

To delete a clip click on the respective clip and select delete icon.

To duplicate a video clip, click on the 3 dots icon at the left corner.

2/8 Trim Video

In this section, we are going to learn how trim a video in KineMaster. Follow these steps.

Move or play the video clip and stop at the position where you want to trim video. Then click on the video clip.


A yellow border will appear around the selected video clip.

There are four options. Trim to left of playhead, trim to right of playhead, split at playhead, split and insert freeze frame.

When you select the first option, the left portion from the playhed will be trimmed. Thus the right portion by the second option.

3/8 Edit Speed

Click on the video clip.


Select speed option.

5/8 Add Filter


Click on the video clip.


Select Color filter.

You can adjust strength of filter by adjusting the white button.

5/8 Add Transition

Between two clips, there is an add button. Click there.

You can find a variety of transitions.

To find widely used transitions such as zoom out and crossfade, scroll down and select classic transitions.


You may also adjust transition time.



6/8 Add Text


To add texts in video, click on layer button.

7/8 Add Music

Click on the audio button.

8/8 Save Video

To save video, click on the upward arrow button at the top right corner.

Select resolution and frame rate. Then click on the export button.
